A NOTE FROM MS.TUZO!!

Hello parents,

I just want to mention a few things. 

• Spelling homework starts this week.  I will do a mini lesson for every spelling activity that the students will be required to do at home.
• Don't forget to send in a 3" binder or $9
• Please make sure that your child has a "homework kit" at home.  The "homework kit" should include a couple of pencils, crayons, scissors, and glue.  The supplies that were sent to school will not be allowed to go home.
• On Tuesday October 4th, each student will bring home their book from their guided reading lesson. I will refer to it as their "bag of books" from now on.  Please read for 20 minutes every night. I will send home questions for you to "talk" about with your child. Please send in their bag of books EVERYDAY!!!  "Bag of Books" do not go home on the weekend.
• As of October 18th, Daily behavior logs will no longer be coming home on a daily basis. Students who are on Teacher's Choice or Parent Contact will receive a single note for the day that must be signed by you.  We have a really good group of students and I don't think a daily log is really necessary. At anytime if you are concerned about your child's behavior please feel free to send me an email.

Back to School Night!!!

Hello Everyone,

Please come and join us for Back to School Night @ Harrington Sound Primary School, the best school on the island!!!

There will be a PTA meeting first from 6:00-6:30pm and then from 6:30-7pm you will be able to visit our classroom!! 

Can't wait to see you there!!!!!

Things to Remember!!

Hello Everyone,

Thanks to to the three parents who became followers to our classroom blog!!!  I am glad that you took the time!!

Here are some things to remember:

• Check Agendas daily for behavior logs
• PE days are Wednesday and Friday (they wear their PE clothes to school)
• No towels needed! We have a rug!!!
• Please send a hat to school.  It is VERY HOT outside.
• Until our Guided Reading lessons begin students will be required to keep a log of their daily reading.  They should be reading for about 20 minutes a night.
• Homework will begin NEXT WEEK!!
• There is no microwave available to the students.  If you send hot lunch in needs to be in a container that can keep it warm. 

The First Day of School!!!!!

Hello Parents,

It was so nice to see all my smiling faces this morning!!  We missed you Jennifer!!  Get well soon!!

I was supper excited!!!!! 

We had a great day.  We read two stories, toured part of the building, drew a picture, and celebrated the first day with cupcakes and pineapple soda!!!!  And of course there was lunch and recess!!!!

We will spend the next couple of days doing some easy activities so we can get to know each other.  Monday morning we are off and running!!!!!
